Estate Masterplan for Country Living in Haddington, East Lothian

Jones Robbins Tobin led a programme of architectural reform to restore balance, proportion and quiet grandeur to this country house in Haddington, East Lothian. What began as a modest post-war replacement dwelling has been carefully reimagined as a composition more fitting of its historic estate setting and surrounding landscape.

Through a considered estate masterplan, Jones Robbins Tobin introduced mirrored extensions, re-centred principal entrances and re-established symmetry, creating a confident architectural presence rooted in context. Internally, light-filled contemporary living spaces are layered within a rationalised plan, improving flow, performance and connection to the grounds.
