Kingsley Court

Kingsley Court | Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire

Kingsley court is a highly crafted contemporary new build dwelling located within the grounds of Kingsley House, an existing country home build in the 1900’s.

A series of pavilion structures are set into a walled garden design arrangement, with new landscaped gardens proposed between the structures, creating diverse and enchanting vistas through the property. On arrival the three-bedroom house appears as single storey dwelling, subservient to the original house. A glass link corridor separates the private spaces from the public pavilion structures and leads to the hidden basement level, where two en-suite bedrooms are located along with a family living space. The glass link further grounds the property to its context offering views to the tree lined boundary and is centred on the existing gable of Kingsley House, firmly rooting the new structure to is context. To the south of the plot, the pavilions are home to light filled open plan living accommodation, with an external dining space bridging the void between pavilions, bookended with brick hearths.
