In all projects, we strive to create living environments that not only enhance our clients living experience daily but influence their long-term wellbeing. With a strong emphasis on connecting the internal living zones with the natural environment through creative responses to daylight, flora and fauna and the application and use of materials that are heavily influenced by the context in which we build.

Jones Robbins Tobin was founded in 2019 by Gareth Jones and Daryl Robbins with the ambition of creating a practice that delivered design lead, highly crafted, private residential projects, with a keen attention to client aspirations, building form, building context, the environment and materiality.
The practice was joined by Brian Tobin as a partner in 2021 to re-unite a team that had worked together for more than a decade within award winning practices in Scotland and London.
The practice has grown since its inception to form a highly talented and experienced team, working throughout Scotland and England from our Studios in Edinburgh & East Lothian.

We have a passion for creating highly crafted, contextual design with each project a unique opportunity to create a narrative responsive to the client’s brief, the site context and the environmental challenges of our generation. Working collaboratively, we place our clients at the centre of the process, listening and creating spaces tailored to their lives.
We specialise in residential architecture, with projects at various scales in Scotland and England, with bases in Edinburgh and East Lothian. Our ambition is to create highly detailed, considered and crafted spaces which are of their place and of their time.
